gloria: hello, everybody.i'm gloria copeland, and welcome to the believer'svoice of victory. sister billye's still with ustoday, and, oh, you've got to--you've got to hearthis good ending she's got for us. billye: oh,yes. gloria: we've got the victory, hallelujah. billye:we have the victory. bless the lord. hallelujah. you know, wehave talked about how that when god raised jesus from the dead,he raised us. gloria: mm-hmm. billye: and he seated--when heseated the head at the right
hand of the father, he seatedthe body, and that we then are given authority. gloria: yeah.billye: and what do we have authority over? demons, devils.gloria: demons, yeah. billye: not people. and he--he-- gloria:wicked spirits. billye: wicked spirits, yes. the bibletalks about them. in those mid heavens, between here and theheaven of heaven, there is this realm where satan is called thegod of this world, the prince of the power of the air. now,people have seen it. people have been going to heaven, and comingback, and they've seen it. one
of them is our good friend, dr.gary wood. we know him. we know he's an honest man. gloria: yes.billye: we know that he died actually 50 years ago. and godsent him back. he was a young man then. he didn't want to comeback, and god told him, "you go back. there is three things thatwill be a sign of my coming: one of them is a spirit ofrestoration, brothers restoring with brothers; one is anoutpouring of miracles; and one is a spirit of prayer." so nowlisten to what he saw. and jesus-- gloria: you know, thatrestoration-- billye: whoa.
gloria: --that's love--that's arevelation of the love of god. billye: that's right. forgivingyour brother, making things right, no schism in the body.gloria: praise god. billye: praise god. so here's what hesaid about prayer: "while i was with jesus, he showed me theearth. it was like i was looking at the pictures the astronautssent to us on earth from the satellites, only the earth wasencircled by three rings. inside the first ring was the earth'satmosphere, and i saw hundreds of evil spirits--" gloria: mm.billye: "--there--operating
there. the evil spirits wouldtarget people, try to deceive them. if the people would acceptthe lies as truth, many more demons would swarm in likeflies." gloria: oh. billye: they would then begin to fall to thetemptations of the flesh by allowing the demons to controlthem, and their lives would begin to fall apart. the demonshave power to make people tell lies, cheat, steal, commitadultery, speak evil against one another, get addicted to drugs,addicted to alcohol. it was like the people became puppets on astring." gloria: hmm. billye:
"then jesus showed me that whena child of god got down on their knees before him, praying in thename of jesus with faith, their prayers would shoot into theheavens like barbed arrows. an army of angelic forces wouldappear, prepared for battle to destroy the demons'effectiveness. the more prayers of faith there were, the morethe demons would retreat. but if doubt and unbelief were spoken,the demons would begin to overcome. the lord told me thatas time grows closer to his return, demon activity willbecome more rampant." gloria:
now, the scripture says,"neither give place to the devil." billye: no, don'tgive him the place. gloria: so there--he's got to get someplace or he can't-- billye: he cannot operate. gloria: that'sright. billye: and you're the one with the authority to lethim in or keep him out. gloria: yeah. that's good. billye: thelord showed him that the demon activity would increase, likewe've seen here. satan knows the final curtain is being drawn,and as time is running out, millions of demons and theirsatanic power abound around
this. and we have a--why arethey there? because we don't take our authority like wecould. they're here, of course, but we can stop their activity.gloria: yes. billye: now, going back to this book, thismarvelous book of ephesians, and the prince of the power of theair, brother macmillan writes, "the god of the whole earth isnot proposed to tolerate forever this rebellion against hisrighteousness." he writes, "i have sworn by myself the wordhas gone out of my mouth and shall not return unto me void.there every knee shall bow unto
me. every knee shall bow, everytongue shall swear or confess that jesus christ is lord," thenew testament says. but it's quoting isaiah 45:23. "beforethis can be happening," before all the knees can bow, "theinstigators of this human rebellion have to be cast down.and god has redeemed himself a people and purified them, and hehas--he has introduced this people," you and me, "into theheavenlies," where right now we have our seat up there at theright hand of the father, and we are ordered by the lord to--torule and reign over him, to rule
and reign in this life. gloria:over the devil. billye: but i want--i want to point you rightnow to this magnificent verse in chapter 3, verses 9-11. here itis written, "to the intent that now," n-o-w. now, not afterthey're all cast down. "now--" this is chapter 3, verse 10, ofephesians. "to the intent that now unto the principalities andpowers in the heavenly places might be known through thechurch the manifold wisdom of god, according to the eternalpurpose which he purposed in christ jesus our lord." so, thissays that right now he has
introduced us in there, and hewants us to make known to those principalities and powers in theheavens, and those little demons running around here on earth,it's our job to make known to them what? the manifold wisdomof god. he wants us--the head wants us to take authority hereon the earth over these critters, you might say, evilcritters. in verse 11, "according to the eternalpurpose which he purposed in christ jesus our lord." he says,writing about that, "the eternal purpose--" or in sometranslations, it's "the church,"
"--is to be god's instrument indeclaring to these rebellious and now usurping powersthe divine purpose and in administrating theirprincipalities after they have been unseated." we will do thatwhen they've been cast down. we will take their place, thechurch. "but it is further declared to be that all this isaccording to his eternal--" "the purpose of the ages," sometranslations read. "--which he purposed in christ jesus ourlord." that is to say that god, through all the ages past, evenway back there in the time of
adam, he had in view a wonderfulplan where he would prepare a people in his son, that wouldcome forth, chosen and called and faithful, and he would placethem in heavenly seats to rule through the ages to come, andeven right now. bless the lord. and that's his eternal purpose.it's been his purpose when he had moses, when he had this,when he had that. he's always looking forward to this people.when he raises up the son, raises up the head, he's goingto raise up this people. and they're going to sit at hisright hand now and through the
eternal ages, this group--gloria: praise god. billye: --with this power and authority.gloria: hallelujah. i'm in that group. billye: you're in thatgroup. and god said to you, gloria, and he said to me, andhe said to all of who are born again, "if by one man's offensedeath reigned by one--" that's adam "--much more--" gloria:much more. billye: "--shall they which receive the abundance ofgrace and of the gift of the righteousness, reign--they shallreign in life through one jesus christ." the amplified said,"they shall reign as kings in
life." gloria: amen. billye: youshall reign in your realm-- gloria: in authority. billye:--of authority like a king. gloria: yeah, mm-hmm. billye:now-- gloria: praise god. billye: --i'm going to talk toyou about how to do that. i give this book away to lots ofpeople. and i tell them, "you get this, and you do page 27."so here is page 27 in his book. you're going to get this book.you'll buy it from somewhere. gloria copeland sells it, wesell it, "the authority of the believer" by macmillan. sohere's how to do it. the bible
says you're not just a heareronly. you be a doer. so macmillan writes, "do we believethat god has quickened us together with christ, has raisedus up together and made us sit together in the heavenliesin christ jesus? if we do--" gloria: i do. billye: "--ourreaction to it will be a fervent--" and then he givesthis prayer. and this is the one like in--in the early morning, ido this every day. i sit down in a chair, because kings seated.they're seated. we're seated in heavenly places. it's higher ina place to be seated than it is
to stand in an office.it's higher to be seated in an office. we're seated at theright hand of jesus, of the father through jesus. so i sitdown in my chair. i look out over the lake. i live up over alake. and i say--oftentimes i go here to page 27, and i readit right straight out of macmillan's. and i read, "lord,i accept thy gracious word. i believe that thou has thuswrought for me. in humble faith, i do now take my seat in theheavenly places in christ jesus at thy right hand. teach mehow to fulfill this sacred
ministry--" gloria: praise god.billye: "--how to exercise the authority which you haveentrusted to me. train me day by day that i may attain to thefull stature of the perfect man in christ so that in methy purpose of the ages may be fulfilled." amen. gloria: praisegod. billye: now, after i've done that, i'm sitting here atmy seat. i read that. i read this prayer in ephesians. i'veprayed that, and i say, "lord, i praise you for these great andwonderful truths. and now, because you told me to, i'mgoing to bring glory to your
name by using them in rulingover darkness--" gloria: praise god. billye: "--according toromans 5:17." and then i say, "kingdom of darkness, you listenup. you listen to me right now. in the name of jesus, i commandit. i plead the blood against you today. i hold the blood ofjesus christ over my family, over me; spirit, soul, and body.you don't have any right to touch me." gloria: that's right.billye: "you do not touch my four children." gloria: that'sright. billye: "you do not touch their mates. you do nottouch their children, my
grandchildren, their mates,my five--10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. you arehereby--a blood ring stops you from touching any of thoserelated to billye brim. you do not touch the good works thatgod has ordained i should walk in. you are bound. i bindyou, satan. you don't touch a glorious church fellowship incollinsville. you don't touch prayer mountain in the ozarksin missouri. you don't touch migdal arbel in the galilee ofisrael. in the name of jesus of nazareth, you're not bringingany isis plots and plans."
gloria: that's right. billye:"you're not blowing up any schools." gloria: that's right.billye: "you're not blowing up any malls. you're not cominganywhere near us in missouri where i live in my jurisdiction.you're not coming anywhere near us in oklahoma. you're notcoming anywhere near us in our jurisdiction in missouri. youare hereby bound to stay away from me." gloria: that's right.billye: "you keep your hands off my partners. in the name of thelord jesus christ, if they're joined with me in partnership, ihereby tell you today, you get
your hands off of them. you getyour hands off our monies. you cannot stop the monies to do thework of god coming to us." gloria: that's right. billye:"you are bound. i draw a bloodline over our cars, ourmodes of transportation, our airplanes. cody's flying everyday. you're not touching those jets that he flies in the nameof--" gloria: that's right. billye: "--jesus christ ofnazareth. you're not touching our houses, our lands. i drawthe bloodline around them--" gloria: praise god. billye:"--our food in jesus' name."
gloria: amen. billye: "i takeauthority over you." gloria: yes, that's right. billye: nowhe says, right after that, "that's how you do it." andthat's what my little book tells you. my little book, that littleminibook in our offer, it tells you how to do that every day.gloria: praise god. billye: then macmillan writes, "if weare walking in the spirit, our normal life is in theheavenlies. to secure the consciousness of this, theremust be the daily acceptance of the fact. let us, morning bymorning, as one of our first
acts of worship, take our seatwith christ as suggested in the previous paragraph, and returnthanks to god for all that it implies. let us often remindourselves that we are seated far above all the powers of the airand that they are in subjection to us. as our faith learns touse the name and the authority of jesus, we shall findthe spiritual forces yielding obedience in ways that willsurprise us. as we continue to abide closely in him, ourprayers for the advancement of the kingdom will become less andless the uttering of petitions
and will increasingly manifestthe exercise of a spiritual authority that fearlessly bindsthe forces of darkness in any part of the world." in otherwords, you're going to start noticing the power of the enemyback off, back off from you and yours. now, it's very importantthat once you start this, you stay in that place every day.gloria: yeah. hold your place. billye: you hold your place. youwalk--and you do need to walk in humility, and you need to walkin--be a good christian. gloria: love. billye: love. live in theword, walk in--walk in love with
people. be a dedicated person tothe lord jesus christ. and then-- gloria: speaking thetruth in love. billye: speaking the truth in love. and thenyou--you're going to--you're going to hold that place ofauthority. i'm going to read you what he wrote here on page 31."the only place of safety is the occupation of the seat itself."that's the only place you're going to be safe. gloria: oh.mm. billye: has to sit up there. gloria: you've got to be in it.billye: you've got to be in it. you give no place to the devil.gloria: not just talking about
it, not just looking at it.billye: not just believe in it. gloria: not just thinking aboutit. billye: no. gloria: you have a sit-- billye: it's not just--gloria: --in that place. billye: --accepting it, gloria. "oh,i believe that. that's true." gloria: yeah, that's right.that's a good-- billye: "i sure do believe it, and i believebillye brim can do that. i believe gloria can do it too."you can-- gloria: that's right. billye: but you have to doit. gloria: you have to do it. billye: you have to sit up thereevery morning. listen to this.
"the only place of safety is theoccupation of the seat itself." gloria: hmm, that's good.billye: i mean, down here, folks, he can throw his darts atyou. but if you sit up in that seat every morning and you tellhim what he can and cannot do, then you're safe. "theonly place of safety is the occupation of the seat itself.it is far above the enemy. if the believer abides steadfastlyby faith in this location, he cannot be touched." wouldn't youlike to be there? gloria: mm-hmm. billye: "consequently,the enemy puts forth all of his
wiles to draw him down. for onceout of his seat, his authority is gone. he's no longerdangerous. further, he's open to attack." if you get up out ofthat seat, you start running over there, and you start sayingthings opposite to--you start saying things like-- gloria:opening the door. billye: opening the door. gloria: you'reopening the door to the devil. billye: --"my kids are going tothe devil. i don't know what's the matter with them. i tried toteach them the right things." you start that, man, you--gloria: you're in trouble.
billye: you're in trouble. yourkids are in trouble. but, wigglesworth said, "there is aplace in god--" gloria: in god. billye: "--where satan dare notcome." gloria: amen. billye: he dares not come. gloria: so wemake--we should maintain that place. billye: we maintain theseat. he dares not come to the--he dares not come tothe--to the--to where god is sitting. he dares not come wherejesus christ is sitting at his right hand. gloria: that'sright. billye: the head is seated, and the body is seated.satan dares not come there. but
if you come up and you get outof your chair, you start running around down there in themulligrubs-- gloria: talking unbelief and doubt. billye:--talking unbelief. gloria: fear. billye: fear. gloria: fearis the worst thing you can do. billye: "i don't know why godlet this happen to me." i hear that. "i don't know why goddidn't stop the devil from doing this." when you start talkinglike that, you have given satan a place. gloria: true. that'sright. billye: it is written in, what is it, ephesians 4:27,"neither give place to the
devil." gloria: neither give anyplace. no foothold. billye: don't give him any place.gloria: don't give him a foothold. billye: and if you situp there at the right hand of god and you worship god in themornings, and then you use your authority over the devil, andthen all the day long. i like that song, (singing) "all daylong i've been with jesus." gloria: yeah. billye: "all daylong, my lips have uttered praise. all day long, my heart,my soul's been lifted in worship. all day long, i havebeen with him." gloria: praise
god. billye: you justwalk there. you live there. you--you're consecrated, you'rededicated. gloria: now, hold that--hold that thought becausewe're--hold your place. hold your place. three words. billye:hold your-- gloria: hold-- billye: that's it, gloria.gloria: --your place. billye: you're onto something. gloria:and all day long, whatever happens, i'm holding myplace. what is your place? it's whatever the word says. billye:that's it. gloria: it's scriptures. it's what the wordtalks about. he talks about your
deliverance, your healing, yourfamily, your situation. we hold our place in the word of god.now, how do we fail to hold our place? we start talking doubtand unbelief. billye: exactly. gloria: first thing you know,fear's got hold of you, and your faith is somewhere else. billye:you're up out of your seat. gloria: yep, yep. billye: you'reup out of your place. gloria: you're not holding your place.billye: your place at the right hand of the father. gloria:that's right. and you know, it's not hard--might sound hard atfirst, but it gets to be a habit
to speak good words. that's--itgets to be a habit just like you learned to speak bad words.billye: it's the truth, glo. gloria: it's a habit tospeak--gets to be a habit to speak good words. and you get towhere it's not--it's not hard. billye: no. gloria: i don'thave--i'm not talking bad about-- billye: because you'rethinking. gloria: --myself or my future or my family. billye: no.gloria: i'm holding my place. billye: you've renewed yourmind-- gloria: speaking good words. billye: --to the word ofgod. gloria: that's right.
billye: bless the lord. gloria:it works. billye: and you are--now, we were here the otherday, and we were getting ready to do this, and we had prayer.all the people around here are big--big helpers in this, youknow. gloria: sure, they are. billye: and one of the menis dale mock. and he said--just stepped up, i could see theanointing on him. he said, "that's when my--my lifechanged, when my father found the truth of the authority ofthe believer, and he started using it on me." and daledescribed where he was with the
devil in the mulley grubs. thedevil had him, but his father found out about the authority ofthe believer! gloria: and dealt with the devil. billye: and hereis dale to tell you about it. dale mauck: i was raised in agood home, great home. and i was saved. but i would put me in thegroup of "my people perish for the lack of knowledge," and thenbeing taught from well-meaning people that, well, "god's afteryou. and by the way, the devil's after you too." so i kind ofadded up, in my thinking, "well, god's after me, the devil'safter me. i got no hope; totally
worthless. i'm not getting outof here." (laughs) "i sure ain't making it to heaven, so i'm justgoing to party all the way and see if i can pull it out of thehole at the last second." you know what i mean? thank godmy--my dad had started listening to word of faith. so we had--wehad fred price, brother kenneth copeland on all the time at thehouse. and then he--he--through them, he learned of brotherkenneth hagin. so he started getting brother kenneth hagin'sbooks and started reading them, "the authority of the believer."so he would--he would go to work
every day, and he would go outin his pickup truck and read, you know, his--his whole lunchbreak. for answers, he totally immersed himself in the word.and because he immersed himself, and he believed it, that goddoesn't lie, he started associating himself withpromises. but i remember coming home one night, and dad--uh,he's in the--he's at the couch, all right? and he's praying.i come in. he gets up, looks at me, and goes to bed. and not aword said, but yet everything about him was, "i love you. it'sgoing to be great." (laughs)
"it's all going to work out. i'mpraying for you. i've got this thing." that's where thisministry comes into play, and they start teaching you, aftersalvation, this is who you are in christ. because you'reactually a son of god, these are the things that are available toyou, and this is the things that you operate in, that you haveauthority, you have jurisdiction in this world. you're not inthis world without hope. this ministry brings--brings hope toyou because they bring you information that's true out ofthe word. i said, "if this guy
loves me this much, if this manloves me this much, i can turn my life over to him." so that'swhen--that's when my life started to change, when i--wheni saw love. but he was operating in faith because he had come toknow the promises of god toward--and toward me, towardhim, toward his household, and he could trust god. he--hehad educated himself with that new information. what's itsay? it says, "my people suffer for the lack of knowledge."so the mauck family stopped suffering becausethey got different knowledge.
